About the Master in Public Health
The Master of Public Health (MPH) is the standard professional degree recognized throughout the world for public health practice. The MPH Program at the University of Missouri–Columbia trains practitioners, teachers, researchers, and administrators to plan, implement, and evaluate programs aimed at enhancing health in human populations through organized effort on the local, state, and national level.
All students will be educated in the core domains of public health and be highly qualified to enter the public health workforce. MU Public Health students will choose one of three Concentration Areas, where they can focus the program to fit their interests and skills:
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
- Public Health Policy and Administration
- Veterinary Public Health
Dual degrees will be available in a number of areas including Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Public Affairs, Health Administration, and Social Work. The Master of Public Health (MPH) is your key to an exciting new career!
